A canister-type thruster is disclosed. The canister-type thruster according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a canister lifting within a trunk of a hull or a floating structure; a lifting device having a rack gear which is installed in the canister in the lifting direction in order to lift the canister and a pinion gear which is installed in the trunk and engaged with the rack gear; a guide device which is mounted on the trunk to guide the elevation of the lifting device and having a flank guide unit connected with the rack gear; and a spacer corresponding to the flank guide unit and protruded in the canister rather than the rack gear. 캐니스터식 스러스터를 개시한다. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 캐니스터식 스러스터는 선체나 부유구조물의 트렁크 내에서 승강하는 캐니스터; 캐니스터를 승강시키기 위해 캐니스터에 승강방향으로 길게 설치되는 랙기어와, 트렁크에 설치되며 랙기어와 이물림하는 피니언기어를 갖는 승강장치; 캐니스터의 승강을 안내하기 위해 트렁크에 마련되어 랙기어와 접하는 치면안내부를 갖는 안내장치; 및 치면안내부에 대응하여 캐니스터에 랙기어보다 돌출 마련되는 스페이서;를 포함한다.
