Summary:The present invention includes: multiple pixels which include a photoelectric conversion element, a shift switching unit arranged in one side of the photoelectric conversion element, an overflow control unit arranged in the other side of the photoelectric conversion element, a first electric charge storage unit arranged in one side of the shift switching unit, a transmission switching unit arranged in one side of the first electric charge storage unit, a second electric charge storage unit arranged in one side of the transmission switching unit, and a reset switching unit arranged in one side of the second electric charge storage unit; and a control circuit which applies a signal on the multiple pixels. The control circuit controls the overflow control unit to selectively perform an action between a first action and a second action according to set modes. The first action controls the overflow control unit so that the electric charge of the photoelectric conversion element does not overflow to the first electric charge storage unit by controlling the overflow control unit after the electric charge of the photoelectric conversion element is transmitted to the first electric charge storage unit in case of a first mode. The second action controls the overflow control unit so that the supersaturated electric charge of the photoelectric conversion element is stored in the first electric charge storage unit in case of a second mode.
