Summary: | The present invention relates to a composition for controlled release of drugs, which comprises an amniotic membrane (AM) carrying pharmaceutically acceptable salt; and alginate gel attached to the AM as a barrier, wherein the alginate gel contains alginate and calcium, and the calcium is cross-linked to the alginate. In the composition for controlled release of drugs according to the present invention, the alginate and Ca^2+ are cross-linked so as to form gel of a strong net structure, and this alginate gel is attached to the AM carrying the drugs as the role of a barrier. Therefore, the composition can control release of the drugs carried on the AM by concentration of the calcium and/or concentration of the alginate, whereby can be usefully applied to therapeutic agents for treatment of eye disease. |
