Summary:According to the invention, a two-step supercharging unit is composed of a housing unit (2) which includes a high pressure charger (2..) and a low pressure charger (1..) integrated therein. Rotor shaft lines of the two chargers are perpendicular to the housing unit (2), and the housing unit can be directly screw-coupled with a side portion of an internal combustion engine through a housing base (25). By adopting this attachment concept, coupling flexibility on a coupling to a cooler of the supercharging unit and the internal combustion engine is improved, thereby additionally decreasing a structural volume of a supercharging assembly.
