Summary:The present invention provides a user interface that overlays a plurality of subareas as candidates on a target image to be presented, and allows a user to select a desired subarea from the subareas. The subareas are formed by segmenting the target image with a predetermined pattern (pattern segmentation) or by grouping pixels based on a feature such as color/brightness/edge (over segmentation). The size of the subarea may be changeable by the user, and the number of subareas to be overlaid on the target image to be displayed may be limited.
