Summary:The present invention relates to a water sterilizing purifier and a sterilizing method therefor, which can remove microorganisms as well as ions from source water flowed into a deionization type water sterilizing purifier. The electro deionization type water sterilizing purifier according to a preferable embodiment of the present invention comprises an electro deionization type filter module for filtering the source water; and a sterilizing solution dispenser for injecting a sterilizing solution to the electro deionization type filter module for sterilization.
