Summary:An intraocular lens has an optical axis, a central zone and a peripheral zone which are substantially symmetrical with respect to the optical axis and which extend substantially perpendicular thereto, the central zone extending to a first distance, and the peripheral zone extending from the first distance to the end of the intraocular lens, wherein the central zone has a nominal optical power, and the peripheral zone has a radius of curvature which varies continuously and monotonously as a function of the distance to the optical axis, so that a target asphericity value is obtained at a second distance relative to the optical axis, the first distance and the second distance being calculated from a photopic pupil diameter and a mesopic pupil diameter, respectively, of a patient.
