Summary: | Provided is a shock absorber with improved performance and durability. In a damping force generation mechanism (30a), a spring portion (118) with a high spring constant connected and installed in each diameter direction; and a spring portion (117) with a low spring constant connected and installed in each circumferential direction are included as a spring member (106a), wherein each pressing force is integrated to mechanically applied in series. Also, in a cylindrical wall portion (71) at the other end of a pilot body (49), a loop step pulley portion (74) regulating a stroke of the spring portion (117) connected and installed in each circumferential direction is formed. Accordingly, in a damping force control range, only the spring portion (117) connected and installed in each circumferential direction of the spring member (106a) is elastically deformed to improve durability. Only the pressing force of the spring portion (117) connected and installed in each circumferential direction of the spring member (106a) is applied to a pilot valve member (95) to suppress change in the damping force in order to improve performance. |
