Summary:The present invention relates to an upper back pressure type scroll compressor having a bypassing means. According to an aspect of the present invention, the scroll compressor having a bypassing means includes a casing; a discharge cover fixed inside the casing to divide the inside of the casing into an intake space and a discharge space; a main frame arranged apart from the discharge cover; a circling scroll circling while being supported by an upper surface of the main frame; a fixing scroll installed to be movable in a vertical direction about the circling scroll, forming an intake chamber, a mid-pressure chamber, a discharge chamber together with the circling scroll, and including one or more bypass holes formed to be in communication with the mid-pressure chamber; a back-pressure chamber assembly fastened to an upper portion of the fixing scroll to restrict an upward movement of the fixing scroll, introducing a portion of a working fluid in the mid-pressure chamber to press the fixing scroll toward the circling scroll, and having a discharge flow channel making the discharge chamber and the discharge space to be in communication; and a bypass valve opening/closing the one or more bypass holes, wherein the bypass flow channel making the one or more bypass holes and the discharge flow channel to be in communication is formed between the back-pressure chamber assembly and the fixing scroll.
