Provided are a system and a method for load measurement based on pressure. According to the system and method, one or more differential pressures are measured on an air foil, and one or more aerodynamic loads associated with the one or more differential pressures are determined. The determined one or more loads are used to change air foil characteristics so as to increase efficiency and/or avoid damage. The determined one or more aerodynamic loads can be used in a distribution control system so as to balance and/or optimize an air foil load, estimate load distribution of the air foil used to guide another index associated with the air foil, and/or increase efficiency of one or more wind turbines for example, and/or reduce damage thereto.
