Summary:An embodiment of the present invention relates to a terminal capable of expanding, reducing, or scrolling a displayed screen more easily, and a control method thereof. The terminal includes: an input unit to receive information from the outside; a display unit to display a screen; and a control unit to control the screen displayed on the display unit in accordance to the information received through the input unit, wherein the input unit includes a touchscreen, wherein the control unit detects the number of touched points on the touchscreen, the size of pressure acting on the touched points, and the positions of the touched points based on the information received through the input unit wherein the control unit controls the screen displayed on the display unit to be expanded, reduced or scrolled using the number of touched points; the size of pressure acting on the touched points, and the positions of the touched points.
