Summary:The present invention relates to a Penicillium citrinum strain separated from microorganism fermented tea. In particular, the present invention relates to: a Penicillium citrinum strain which is separated from microorganism fermented tea and can apply functionalities, especially anti-diabetic and anti-obesity activities to the fermented tea produced by being fermented with a strain; a biocatalyst for producing microorganism fermented tea including one or more selected from the group consisting of the Penicillium citrinum strain separated from microorganism tea, a culture medium liquid of the strain, and a concentrated liquid of the culture medium liquid; and a method for producing microorganism fermented tea comprising a step of making a biocatalyst for producing the microorganism fermented tea reacted with tea tree leaves. Compared to reported existing microorganisms separated from microorganism fermented tea, the novel Penicillium citrinum strain separated from microorganism fermented tea of the present invention has various improved functionalities, particularly anti-diabetic and anti-obesity activities, so as to be used in producing high quality microorganism fermented tea.
