Summary:Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for managing data in a memory. According to embodiments of the present invention, a data object is stored in a first nonvolatile tier of a multi-tier memory structure. An adaptive ECC data set is generated to detect at least one bit error in the data object during a reading operation.
