The present invention relates to a powder separation method and a powder separation apparatus. According to the present invention, disk-type powder can be separated by using static electricity from a powder aggregate in which spherical powder and the disk-type powder are mixed. The powder separation method according to an embodiment of the present invention, which is a powder separation method for separating disk-type powder from a powder aggregate in which spherical powder and the disk-type powder are mixed, includes: a static electricity charging step in which powder contained in the powder aggregate is charged with positive or negative static electricity; a separation means providing step in which separation means, which has a pole opposite to the pole of the static electricity of the charged powder aggregate, is provided; an attachment step in which the disk-type powder is attached to the separation means by bringing the separation means into contact with or close to the charged powder aggregate; and a separation step in which the disk-type powder is separated from the separation means.
