Summary:Disclosed are an enhanced balancer and a washing machine having the same. The balancer includes a balancer housing having a circular channel inside; at least one mass body arranged inside the channel to be movable; and at least one magnet coupled to one side of the balancer housing to bind the movement of the mass body along the channel, when the rotation velocity of a drum is within a predetermined rotation velocity range. The magnet includes a plurality of unit magnets arranged on the circumferential direction of the balancer housing.
