The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for detecting a fault location of equipment using combination points. The apparatus includes: first contact point units included in a plurality of auxiliary relays installed in each piece of equipment; second contact point units included in the auxiliary relays; a first fault information providing unit providing fault information on one of a plurality of monitoring elements included to monitor the equipments; a second fault information providing unit providing fault information on one of the equipments when at least one of the second contact point units is driven; and a fault location detecting unit combining fault information provided from the first and second fault information providing units and detecting a fault location.
