Summary:The present invention relates to a semantic content searching system using a user query expansion technique and a method thereof. The semantic content searching system according to the present invention identifies a knowledge entity corresponding to a searching keyword inputted from a user terminal; requests related searching keyword to a portal site by confirming the existence of the identification result of the knowledge entity when the identification result of the knowledge entity is not existed; extends the searching keyword by analyzing the related searching keyword provided from the portal site; identifies the knowledge entity corresponding to the extended keyword from a knowledge base by extending the searching keyword; generates a query graph including the identified knowledge entity when the identification of the knowledge entity is completed; converts the query graph, which is matched with the searching intention into a query language by evaluating the query graph; and outputs a searching result by searching content using the query language.
