Summary:A display apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a display unit configured to display a video; a first communication unit configured to receive an input signal from an external terminal; a second communication unit configured to transmit a video signal to the terminal; and a control unit which monitors whether the input signal is received through the first communication unit when an execution mode is an off mode in which the display unit and the second communication unit are in an off state, turns on the second communication unit by changing the execution mode to a transmission mode when the received input signal includes a video transmission request, and controls the second communication unit to transmit the video signal to a terminal which has transmitted the video transmission request.
