Summary:A multifunctional switch for a vehicle is disclosed. The multifunctional switch comprises: a manipulable rotary lever; a light adjusting plate which is mounted on the rotary lever to be integrally rotated with the rotary lever and includes a number of slits; a light source which irradiates light through the light adjusting plate; and a photosensor which receives the light irradiates from the light source through the slits and generates an output voltage signal corresponding to a received light intensity. According to the multifunctional switch, a contactless switching function can be realized.
