Disclosed is a power transmission apparatus of a hybrid vehicle. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the power transmission apparatus of the hybrid vehicle comprises an automatic transmission generating rotary power inputted from an engine based on driving conditions of the vehicle; a motor/generator operated as a motor and a generator as needed; a double clutch unit installed in the rear axial line of the automatic transmission and outputting the rotary power delivered from the motor/generator by shifting into second gear; and a driving shaft selectively connected to the output shaft of the automatic transmission and directly connected to the output element of the double clutch unit.
