Summary:The present invention provides an apparatus for defining a sense tagging level of a word. The apparatus includes: a field term recognition unit which recognizes a field of words relative to a dialog corpus sense-tagged through a thesaurus; a high-frequency word concept extraction unit which extracts high-frequency word concepts from the field of the words and creates and outputs a high-frequency word concept tree; a high-frequency word concept pair extraction unit which creates and outputs high-frequency word concept pairs that pair high-frequency word concepts with high relevance among the extracted high-frequency word concepts; and a sense tagging level definition unit which defines sense tagging levels and relations therebetween, based on the outputted high-frequency word concept tree and the high-frequency word concept pairs.
