Summary:According to an embodiment of the present invention, a blind OFDM frequency offset estimation method comprises the steps of (a) receiving an OFDM signal including irregular noise from an OFDM receiver; (b) applying the Cauchy distribution likelihood function to the OFDM signal and calculating the maximum likelihood estimate value; and (c) setting an initial frequency offset and estimating the final frequency offset by calculating repeatedly the maximum likelihood estimate value within a valid estimation range or comprises the step of estimating the frequency offset at a time if the valid estimation range for the maximum likelihood estimate value in the (c) step is set and the maximum likelihood estimate value is uniformly distributed in the valid estimation range.
