Summary:A fuel cell system for a ship is provided. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the fuel cell system for a ship comprises: a first hot box which includes a first fuel cell stack to be mounted in a ship; a second hot box which includes a second fuel cell stack to be placed by being separated from the first fuel cell stack; a fuel supply unit which supplies fuel to the first and second fuel sell stacks; multiple hot standby lines which supply a thermal fluid by being connected with the first and second hot boxes; a thermal fluid regulating valve which is installed in the hot standby line in order to regulate the thermal fluid; and an electric power converting unit which controls the thermal fluid regulating valve in order to supply the thermal fluid into the inside of the first hot box of the first fuel cell stack or the second first hot box of the second fuel cell stack according to an operating signal or a stop signal of the first or second fuel cell stack.
