Summary:Disclosed are a photographing device and a control method thereof. The photographing device comprises a photographing unit for performing photographing; an operation unit for adjusting the focus by moving the lens of the photographing unit; a touch screen for displaying the live view photographed by the photographing unit and receiving touch gesture of live view; and a control unit for controlling the operation unit to move the lens to adjust the focus according to a preset automatic focus mode after setting the automatic focus mode corresponding to touch gesture among a plurality of automatic focus modes when touch gesture is inputted. Accordingly, photographing device can be easily controlled.
