The present invention relates to a composition comprising poly-gamma-glutamic acid with molecular weight of 100-5000 kDa, as an active ingredient, for improving blood triglyceride levels and, more specifically, to a composition comprising poly-gamma-glutamic acid with molecular weight of 100-5000 kDa, as an active ingredient, which improves blood triglyceride levels by inhibiting the generation of fat in adipocytes and reducing the expression of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activity and adipocyte differentiation-related transcription factors. The composition comprising the poly-gamma-glutamic acid according to the present invention is not toxic, does not have side effects, and is safe, and thus can be ingested for a long time for a purpose of prevention and is useful in preventing and treating metabolic diseases caused by triglycerides.
