Summary: | An overload detection system of a fuel cell stack is provided. According to the present invention, the overload detection system of a fuel cell stack used in vessels comprises a fuel cell stack generating direct current (DC) power by an electrochemical reaction of fuel and air; a fuel supplier supplying fuel and air to the fuel cell stack (MBOP: mechanical balance of plant); an electricity converter converting the direct current (DC) power generated by the fuel cell stack into an alternating current (AC) power (EBOP: electrical balance of plant); and a comparator detecting the overload of the fuel cell stack from the supply amount of fuel supplied from the fuel supplier to the fuel cell stack, and the discharge amount of fuel discharged from the fuel cell stack.
