The present invention relates to a method for refining steel. The method comprises: a process of transferring molten steel processed in a converter, to a vacuum degassing facility; a process of returning and decarbonizing the molten steel in the vacuum degassing facility and blowing hydrocarbon gas into the molten steel; and a step of deoxidizing the molten steel by putting a deoxidizing agent in the vacuum degassing facility.
