Summary:The present invention relates to a reheat burner including a flow channel for high-temperature gas flow having a lance arranged along a flow channel and protruding from the flow channel to inject a fuel to an injection plane perpendicular to a channel's longitudinal axis, while the channel and the lance form an eddy current generating zone positioned upstream of the injection plane in a flow direction of the high-temperature gas and a mixing zone positioned downstream of the injection plane. The mixing zone has different cross section areas along its longitudinal axis having continuously varying forms, or provides at least on axial area having non-circular cross section areas with positions varied along its longitudinal axis by continuous rotation around the longitudinal axis.
