The present invention provides a motor driving type compressor capable of being fixed to a vehicle and protecting components in a housing when external force is applied. The motor driving type compressor (11) comprises a compression tool (14) for compressing a fluid, an electric motor (16) for driving the compression tool (14), a motor driving circuit for driving the electric motor (16), and the housing (13). The housing receives the compression tool (14), the electric motor (16), and the motor driving circuit (18). A cover (28) for protecting the housing (13) from the external force is fixed to the outside of the housing (13). The cover (28) is arranged through a gap (A) for the housing (13) and absorbs the external force by using the gap (A).
