Summary:The invention relates to elastomeric block copolymers with a star-shaped molecular architecture, said star-shaped molecular architecture having at least two different star arms. At least one star arm is composed of at least one block A which has units of at least one vinyl aromatic monomer, said units being incorporated by polymerization, and which forms a hard phase; optionally at least one block B which has one or more different diene monomers and which forms a first elastomeric (soft) phase; and at least one elastomeric block B/A which has units of both at least one vinyl aromatic monomer as well as at least one diene, said units being incorporated by polymerization, and which forms a soft phase. The invention also relates to a method for producing the elastomeric block copolymers according to the invention, to the use of the elastomeric block copolymers according to the invention for producing molded parts, such as films, foams, thermoformed parts, and injection molded parts; tubes or extruded profiles; as an adhesive layer in multilayer films; as a sealing; as an adhesion promoter or thermoplastic component in wood-plastic composites; as a hot-melt adhesive component; and for the impact modification of thermoplasts or elastomers or for compatibility promotion, and to films, foams, thermoformed parts, injection molded parts, tubes, or extruded profiles made of at least one elastomeric block copolymer according to the invention.
