Summary:A method for correcting thermoelastic effects in respect to a performance parameter of a telescope mounted on a space satellite includes a first step which intuitively determines the correction of the thermoelastic effects by utilizing an algorithm (25) for determining the correction transmitted by the programming data of a space satellite and a prior model of changes of thermoelastic effects on an orbit scale before the flight of the satellite; and a second step (403) which is performed in the middle of the flight and which sets control messages of a correction member (30) for correcting the performance parameter of the telescope (1) based on the correction which is intuitively set.
