Summary:An electric compressor comprises a metallic housing, a compression unit, an electric motor, and a cover. The compression unit and the electric motor are accommodated in the housing. The cover is attached to the housing. The cover is formed with a plastic unit and a metallic shielding unit blocking electromagnetic noise. A motor driving circuit driving the electric motor is accommodated inside an accommodating space defined by the housing and the cover. Furthermore, an electric seal member is positioned between the housing and the cover. The shielding unit is extended towards the housing and includes an extension unit arranged inside the seal member. The extension unit is in contact with the housing.
