Summary:The present invention relates to a shock absorbing part which is placed between a steel beam and a bumper cover to absorb shock energy in the low speed collision of a vehicle. The bumper cover is placed on the front of a vehicle body. The steel beams are placed on the rear side of the bumper cover in the lateral direction to reinforce the bumper cover. The shock absorbing part comprises a body part formed lengthily from left to right and a plurality of insert parts. The insert parts are separately placed on the front side of the body part in the lateral direction and are dented to the rear side. The insert parts are inserted with shock absorbing materials of which the rigidity varies according to stiffness required for absorbing shock in order to allow the shock absorbing part to correspond to stiffness required for protecting the pedestrians in a collision without changing the shape of existing shock absorbing parts or the shape of a mold to produce the shock absorbing parts.
