Summary: | The present invention relates to a device for monitoring a laminate type battery by using periodic signals and a method thereof. The device for monitoring the laminate type battery by using the periodic signals comprises a signal generation unit, a signal processing unit, and a determination unit. The signal generation unit applies one or more periodic signals for monitoring to the laminate type battery. The signal processing unit measures response signals corresponding to the periodic signals for monitoring from the laminate type battery. The determination unit determines the abnormality of the laminate type battery by using a phase difference of the response signals. The present invention is provided to determine the performance deterioration of the laminate type battery by analyzing the phase difference of the response signals after applying the periodic signals for monitoring to the laminate type battery, thereby simply monitoring the state of the laminate type battery.
