Summary: | PURPOSE: A photopolymerizable ink composition prevents and/or reduces the contamination of a nozzle and a print head due to the drooling of a side plate and attachment by ink from an inkjet printer. CONSTITUTION: A photopolymerizable ink composition includes a colorant, a vehicle, and an anti-drool additive. The anti-drool additive is a sulfonate and N-alkyl or N-aryl quaternary ammonium counter ion-containing sulfonated compound. The N-alkyl or N-aryl ammonium counter ion NH4 or tetramethyl ammonium, tetra ethyl ammonium, tetra propyl ammonium, tetrabutyl ammonium, tetrapentyl ammonium, tetrahexyl ammonium, tetraoctyl ammonium, tetranonyl ammonium, tetradecyl ammonium, tetradodecyl ammonium, tetradodecyl ammonium, tetraoctadecyl ammonium, N,N-dimethyldioctyl, N,N-dimethyl dodecyl, and a mixture thereof. |
