Summary:PURPOSE: A method of forming coating for front face of an inkjet printhead and oleophobic low-adhesion coating for front face of an inkjet printhead can prevent ink smudging since the ink droplets of a printhead roll down and off the front face of the printhead without leaving residues. CONSTITUTION: A method of coating for a front face of an inkjet printhead comprises oleophobic low-adhesion coating (26). Said oleophobic low-adhesion coating has a high thermal stability as it is shown as a weight loss less than about 15% when heated up to a maximum of 300°C. An ultraviolet ray gel ink droplet or a solid ink droplet exhibits a contact angle exceeding about 50° and a sliding angle less than about 30° with respect to the coating surface. After said coating is exposed to a temperature of at least 290 °C and a pressure of at least 350 psi, said coating maintains said contact angle and sliding angle.
