PURPOSE: A method for producing umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells is provided to effectively isolate mesenchymal stem cells by basically removing pollution sources. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells comprises the steps of: extracting umbilical cord and washing the umbilical cord with a buffer solution containing antibiotics and antibacterial agents; injecting collagenase to umbilical vein of the umbilical cord and performing incubation to collect an enzyme-treated liquid; collecting cells from the enzyme-treated liquid; and culturing the cells in a medium and collecting plastic-adherent cells.
