Summary:PURPOSE: A film for a backlight unit improves color reproducibility and chromatic purity and simplifies the manufacturing process of the backlight unit. CONSTITUTION: A film for a backlight unit (10) includes a nanocrystal-polymer composite film (12) including a semiconductor nanocrystal(13,15) and a matrix polymer (19) in which the semiconductor nanocrystal is dispersed. The matrix polymer is polymerized of a multifunctional photo-curable oligomer, a monofunctional photocurable monomer, and a polyfunctional photo-curable crosslinking agent. The content (A1) of a structure unit derived from the polyfunctional photocurable oligomer, the content (A2) of a structure unit derived from a monofunctional photocurable monomer, and the content (A3) of a structure unit derived from a polyfunctional photocurable crosslinking agent satisfies A1<(A2+A3). The polyfunctional photocurable oligomer has an acid value of 0.1 mgKOH/g or less.
