Summary:PURPOSE: A method and device for controlling the menu of a media device and a recording medium containing a program source about the method are provided to enable a user to easily control the menu of a media device by using icons. CONSTITUTION: If a click operation is performed on one icon out of a first icon group, a control part (410) changes the display state of remaining icons excluding the first icon on which the click operation was performed, and displays a second icon group which includes icons related to a function corresponding to the first icon on a display region predetermined on a touch screen. If one icon out of the second icon group is selected by dragging the first icon while performing a click operation on the first icon, the control part performs a function corresponding to a second icon which is the selected icon.
