Summary: | PURPOSE: A central optical unit having increased stiffness in a soft contact lens for astigmatism correction is provided to orient a toric contact lens on user eyes and to overcome disadvantages related to orientation maintenance. CONSTITUTION: A contact lens (100) includes an optical area (102) and a surrounding area (104) surrounding the optical area. The contact lens is formed of a first material having a first elastic coefficient. A second material is integrated in a central optical area of the contact lens and changes the first elastic coefficient to a second elastic coefficient. |
