PURPOSE: A feedback channel allocating method in a radio communication system and an apparatus thereof are provided to efficiently use a radio resource when allocating two feedback channels for transmitting different sizes of information by using one downlink control signal. CONSTITUTION: A control unit (508) determines amount of information which a mobile terminal has to feed back corresponding to each of a first feedback channel and a second feedback channel. The control unit generates feedback control information which is used to determine a coding rate based on amount of information which is determined corresponding to each of the first feedback channel and the second feedback channel. A transmitting unit (500) transmits the feedback control information and a feedback channel allocation message which includes information about the first feedback channel and the second feedback channel to the mobile terminal.
