Summary: | PURPOSE: A composite cathode active material is provided to provide excellent charging and discharging efficiency and high capacity under a low temperature atmosphere, and to provide battery stability. CONSTITUTION: A composite cathode active material comprises 80-98 parts by weight of a cathode active material represented by chemical formula 1: xLi_2MnO_3-(1-x)LiMO_2, 1-15 parts by weight of an activated charcoal, and 1-5 parts by weight of carbon black per 100.0 parts by weight of the composite cathode active material. The specific surface area of the activated charcoal is 800-3000 m^2/g. The specific surface area of the carbon black is 100-2000 m^2/g. In the chemical formula 1, M is at least one selected from Mg, Ni, Co, Cr, Al, V, Fe, Cu, Zn, Ti, Sr, Mn, B, and La; and x is 0<x<1. |
