Summary:PURPOSE: A white light emitting device is provided to obtain high color rendering properties and high luminous efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting device (14) emits light of a peak wavelength between 430 and 470 nm. An element sealing transparent layer (18) made of transparent resins is formed on the light emitting device. A first fluorescent element (20) emits light of a first peak wavelength between 525 and 560 nm. A second fluorescent element (22) emits light of a second peak wavelength which is longer than the first peak wavelength. A third fluorescent element (24) emits light of a third peak wavelength between 620 and 750 nm. The third peak wavelength is longer than the second peak wavelength.
