Summary: | PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing enhanced flame retarding radiation shielding materials using radiation cross-linking and the radiation shielding materials manufactured by the same are used in an industry for the purpose of radiation shielding by improving mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION: Thermoplastic polymer and rubber resin are mixed. The thermoplastic polymer is selected among polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyisobutylene. The obtained mixture, cross-linking agents, and selective radiation shielding particles are uniformly mixed. Radiation is irradiated to the obtained mixture.
