Summary: | PURPOSE: A photovoltaic power generation controller for controlling a maximum power point (MPP) quickly and accurately and a control method thereof are provided to control a solar module to maintain the optimal voltage, thereby maximizing the efficiency of solar module. CONSTITUTION: A photovoltaic power generation controller (100) comprises a maximum power controller (110) and a tracking controller (120). The maximum power controller detects a sensing voltage and a sensing current from a photovoltaic power generation driving system (200,300) and produces a base control value by using at least one of an instantaneous value and an amount of change of the detected sensing voltage and current. The maximum power controller produces a reference variable value from the base control value and changes dynamically a control gain value in each of driving areas considering at least one of the sensing voltage and the sensing current.
