Summary: | PURPOSE: A motion recognition virtual game system and a method thereof are provided to analyze and evaluate certain motions (e.g. dance) of a person by creating an avatar which acts like the person in a sophisticated way. CONSTITUTION: One or more virtual avatars considered to resemble a certain person are selected (S103). With regard to the selected avatar, an appropriate dance type is selected (S105). The information about a person's motion is created using a motion recognition sensor. A group of detectors are placed around the virtual avatar. If the timing and frequency at which a certain motion of the virtual avatar passes one of the detectors is included within a certain range of the timing and frequency at which the motion of the person passes the detector, it is decided that the two motions are similar.
