Summary:PURPOSE: A surface information extracting apparatus using the point cloud of light detection and ranging (LIDAR) data is provided to inspect the defect and stability of roads or facilities with acquired road surface information. CONSTITUTION: A lane painting database (100) stores at least one of painting standards or laser point values which meet the painting standards out of surface information. A defect database (200) stores at least one of the values of digital elevation model (DEM) modeling using three-dimensional location information for defects obtained by laser point equipment, defect standards, laser point values which meet the standards, or the height values of the defect obtained by the laser point equipment out of the surface information. A laser point authoring tool (300) authors at least one of the painting database and the defect database into a single content and receives at least one of the laser point value, the modeling value, or the height value to search similar points.
