Summary:PURPOSE: A light source device with an external housing is provided to suppress the leakage of light from an opening to an external housing. CONSTITUTION: An external housing (12) includes a light source member and a light source module. The light source module includes a heat pipe unit (3) cooling the light source member. A wind tunnel unit (10) includes a wind path (34) for pushing cooling wind through the heat pipe unit. A blowing opening (12a) blowing the cooling wind from the outside of the external housing into the inside is formed on a surface of the external housing. An end of the wind path is connected with the blowing opening.
