Summary:PURPOSE: Electronic device and information detection method using the same are provided to avoid interference of a signal transmitted to a remote control device to affect a signal transmitted to an electronic device from a remote control device. CONSTITUTION: A reception unit (110) receives a data signal from a remote control device. A signal processing unit (130) signal processes the received data signal and converts the data signal into a pulse signal. A control unit (150) detects information included in the data signal based on time difference between start time points of a continuous pulse range in the pulse signal. The control unit detects information included in the data signal based on time difference between falling edges or rising edges of the pulse range.
