PURPOSE: A tag band manufacturing method and a tag band manufacturing apparatus are provided to automatically perform a series of processes of cutting a supplied string, assembling a metal tip to both end parts of the string after rolling the string and performing molding with a pin for manufacturing a tag band. CONSTITUTION: A tag band manufacturing method includes following steps. In a supplying step, a string (10) and a metal tip (20) are consecutively supplied. In a pulling step, both end parts of a supplied string are held and pulled to be in a process preparing state. In a process inducing step, the end parts of the supplied string are held and rotated so that the supplied string is positioned to be overlapped in an upper part of the metal tip. In a press molding step, upper and lower parts of the metal tip is pressurized so that the metal tip is fixed to the supplied string. In a cutting step, a tag band is manufactured by cutting the supplied string connected to a press-molded metal tip.
